The Parade of Homes is here!
The best of the best in new construction homes are on display during the Asheville Home Builders Association’s annual Parade of Homes. This year’s parade is virtual, so you can tour our entry from wherever you are (we’ll post a link as soon as we get the green light from AHBA).
You can also vote for your favorite home, and of course we hope you’ll choose ours (wink, wink).
We entered a stunning, modern mountain retreat that includes interior walls with hand-carved, layered mountain scenes, stone and wood installations and dramatic flooring designed to replicate a river.
The home is an expression of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Built for modern living and aging in place, including an elevator, vintage items from the owner’s grandparents’ family home were incorporated into the design and construction. Easily lived on one level, the home expands to a second level to hold family gatherings and more storage. Custom built cabinets solved unique storage challenges.
From Brian’s perspective, using virtual tours is an excellent example of how the ABHA pivoted during this pandemic to keep the spirit of this annual tradition intact.
The Asheville building community is a closely connected group of builders, subcontractors and vendors, and we all rely on the annual Parade of Homes to help drive our businesses forward by showing the high quality of our collective work and our commitment to the community that supports us.
