WNC STAR Award for Best Single-Family Home Over 6,000 SF

Best Single-Family Home Over 6,000 SF

We’re thrilled this beautiful custom home we recently built was recognized by our peers at the Asheville Home Builders Association for its quality craftsmanship and fine details as this year’s best single-family home over 6,000 square feet in size in Asheville and the surrounding areas.

“We are honored to win a STAR Award, as it speaks volumes toward our effort to build a home that achieves the client’s vision and meets our high standard for construction,” said Brian Sineath, president and co-owner of Sineath Construction. “It’s a beautiful home, one that will endure for many generations.”

Quality Craftsmanship

Drawing from the regional farmhouse vernacular, a large, central kitchen grounds this custom home around gathering areas inside and outside.
Sited for privacy and nestled into the woods, this home provides functional living spaces, intricate details and finishes, and modern, work-from-home options.

A generous island anchors the large open kitchen, which is washed in natural light from large windows that flank the kitchen and dining area. Wood floors and sliding barn doors reinforce the farmhouse reference. Custom shiplap and wood encase the range hood. Minimal embellishments draw the eye to the clean lines of the backsplash and design elements like black trimmed windows. Style meets function.

The master suite flanks one side of the home. The large bedroom features a tray ceiling with ambient lights. Stone tiles accent the master bathroom and wrap the large double shower. Clerestory windows in the bathroom deliver privacy and abundant natural light. A large utility and laundry room, the staircase to the lower level, and garage access complete the master wing.

Secondary bedrooms and an additional bathroom are located on the opposite side of the home. The lower level includes large, flexible spaces, a home office, mechanicals, and a safe room.
