Supporting Community Events in Weaverville

While Asheville is certainly the more popular destination, Weaverville is a sweet gem briming with local arts, delicious restaurants, and a thriving Main Street lined with delightful shops.

There’s something amazing about living in a small mountain town. From building homes to supporting local events and schools here, we’ve loved being a part of the Weaverville community for the past 15 years.

Several community events are coming up that you won’t want to miss.

The Blackhawk Bolt

Birds of a feather run together! Lace up your running shoes for North Buncombe High School’s second annual road-to-trail Blackhawk Bolt 5K & Fun Run. Race proceeds benefit North Buncombe High School’s PTSO, marching band, and cross-country team. We are thrilled to be a gold sponsor of this year’s race. If you’d like to run or walk this year’s event, register here.

WHERE: North Buncombe High School, 890 Clarks Chapel Road in Weaverville.
WHEN: Saturday, November 11. Packet Pickup begins at 9am. Race starts at 10am.

Weaverville Holiday Parade

An annual family event to celebrate the season, this year’s holiday parade kicks off at 11am from the SECU parking lot on N. Main Street. Make plans to enjoy the fun and festivities full of music, fun floats, and holiday cheer. Be sure to visit the shops and restaurants along Main Street before or after the parade. Proceeds from the parade participant registration fees benefit the Weaverville Cops for Kids 2023 Fund.

Weaverville candlelight stroll, downtown all lit up.

19th Annual Candlelight Stroll

Weaverville’s Candlelight Stroll is a cherished, annual community event bringing people from all over to Main Street and the Community Center to spread good cheers and enjoy the season together. Hosted by the Weaverville Business Association, the full evening of activities includes the annual lighting of the Weaverville Tree on Main Street, a scavenger hunt, storytelling, crafts, caroling, and a visit from Santa Claus.
